Good bye Chiltern house

With a heavy heart, we bid good bye to Chiltern house on 26 April 2013. Dax has been with Chiltern house since N1, N2 and first 4 months of K1...

I thank Chiltern for teaching my son to be a confident, vocal, likable and sociable boy.. With lots of show and tell, assembly performances, I witness my little man progressing into some one with high EQ, friendly and likable personality..

Dax is really popular in school, many parents, teachers and children told me that they will miss him badly.. I can feel his popularity whenever I fetch him back from school.. Parents ask me why there is no farewell party, noooo...mummy doesn't want to make it so sad for everyone... We will still hang out together in our other activities :)

I can't even recall the numbers of assembly that Dax and his classmates have to perform in front of parents and the whole school.. They can do it some confidently and as a parent, I'm definitely proud of his achievements.. I know alot of other schools don't have such strong speech and drama, show and tell culture in them..

After achieving what we aim at initially, transforming Dax to be a sociable, happy and relatively high EQ boy, it's time for us to switch our focus to learn new aspects of life.. :)

Almost half way into K1, We are going to learn independence and to be more academically focus in preparation for primary 1.. Mdm tan from ACS told us to engage him academically during mornings if not he will not be focused during the mornings. His primary school timing is 730-130pm.. Chiltern is 2-530pm currently.. Hence we got to get him used to school time in the mornings at the same time..

We are going to Lorna Whiston, sometimes known as nasi lemak, garang guni, roti prata school by Dax! Haha.. This school is very strong in academic as well as their speech and drama too..

It's just 200m away from Chiltern house.. It's at polliwogs and above Burger King.

It's not goodbye at Chiltern house. Dax will still frequent the school to fetch yin yin. They are still able to skate scoot on fridays!! He also gets to meet his classmates at art class and swimming class :)

Also, his new class consists of 10 Boys and 4 girls, comparing to Chiltern with 10 girls and 4 boys!! Haha.. Since he is going to ACS, he needs to be a little bit more "man"...
29 April is our first day at Lorna.. Wish us good luck! :)

One year on

Mummy wants to make it a culture to celebrate all our birthdays with an outing with the whole family. Since last year, we would take leave on everyone's actual birthday and celebrate either with staycation or anywhere we feel like going..
No exception to our beloved 宝贝whose birthday falls on a Sunday. We still make it a point to take leave on Monday to celebrate together again :)

We are so "high" and all ready to see Kai Kai and Jia Jia.. Guagua... But Kai Kai and Jia Jia were neither in the zoo nor at the river safari on 1st and 2nd April.. So sad and disappointing!! Nevertheless we still proceed on with the zoo visit though its super hot!!

Danelle loves holding on the umbrella handle.. Haha.. She held it all the way..

The chin cousins happily posing for us..

An ice cream cake for dearest Danelle!

At Dunman view

Love u darling.. We will have many more celebrations with u..please grow up to be a healthy and happy 宝贝always :)

Happily posing with the hammer that struck gor gor's head when he was 1 year old..

Will have another post on her actual birthday celebration :)

ACS boy!

Mei mei's big bash over! Time to do some serious stuff!!

Today, We met up with a teacher that was a teacher back when daddy chin was a student. Yes! Mdm tan has been teaching in ACS for 27 years!!! Errmmm, meaning that she started teaching there when I was 5 years old!!! Omg...

That also explained why she was the longest serving teacher in the school too. The trip was v fruitful. We are assured and certain that Dax would be going into ACS. She told us a lot of insights about primary school. Most importantly, she said that we will be "worry-free" for 10 years as Acs has secondary schools affiliation with one at Bakar and the other one under (independence). No need to be that stress over PSLE results.. Sounds like a good deal to me!!

Spoken to some of my colleagues that sent their kids there, all told me that given a choice again, they will still make the same decision to send the kids to ACS.
Ok great! One load off... We r sort of guarantee a place there thanks to daddy's old boy status... Cool!! Dax will love the emphasis this school placed on swimming... :)

Decided!! Yeah! :)
