the faithful day : September 17 2008

On Sep 17, we woke up very early at about 530am. I had my unusually long bath and wash my hair at least 3 to 4 times. Was wondering when will be my next wash again....

We reach Mount Alvernia at 7am. To our horror, the room allocated to me was a double room.. I was very very upset as my gynae's assistant was supposed to book a single/deluxe room for me 1 month ago.. I was really very disappointed about it.. The nurses say that cos alot of people actually gave birth during that period, especially when Sep 16 was LKY's birthday. But i tot sooooo... since i book the room 1 month later, those people that came in as earlier delivery, should just took the double room.. I was fuming the whole morning.. They assure that they will put us as the 1st in waiting list and give us a room as soon as there's someone who checked out,but there is no guarantee. later on, the nurse informed me that there is a family suite checking out and can take the room at 12pm and ask if we want anot. Having no guarantee for the single/deluxe room, we took the family suite package instead. But at the end of the day, glad that we made this choice, as the room is much much bigger to accommodate visitors more comfortably....

Before the ops, was given a jab to empty my bladder... just 5 minutes after the jab, my stomach is cleared of all shit.. hahaa....

At about 10 minutes before 9am, i was being pushed into the operation room. Was a bit scared and excited at the same time, this is the first time i experience being pushed into the operation room, sleeping on the bed and being wheeled around the hospital.. Often seen this scene on the tv, was always wondering how it feels like to be wheeled in.. haaa...

In the ops room, everything happens so fast, before i knew it, it was over. I was asked to curled up like a prawn and given epidural at the back of my spine. Within minutes, i dont have any feeling waist down at all.. wat a weird feeling!! It was quite a light hearted session, my gynae, all the nurses and the doctor are chatting away. They tried to talk to me but I cant really hear them clearly as their mouths are covered. Daddy Chin was asked to come in after a while, guess he was as tense as me as his facial expression showed it all... hahhaaa... well, he hold my hand and the operation goes on... I can feel some flushing sounds at my stomach, my stomach moving about.. another doctor was helping to push the baby out from above....still i cant feel anything..

"wow.. what a huge baby you have, he is heavy.. glad that u choose C section" my gynae was talking away....(He mentions about our case, even mentioning all our names on air 97.2FM when he was being interviewed straight after the operation) Daddy chin helped to cut the umbilical cord, how does it feel?? goto check out with him..

I felt so relieved and touched when I see Dax in person.. Guess Daddy Chin is so tensed that he forgot to take his own self in the photos... hahahaa... =b

My placenta- baby Dax surviving on this for the 9 months.... gosh..........

so touched to see my darling out!!! =)

This is the family suite we stayed for the 3 days...
