Happy Birthday to YX and Jac!!!

Happy Birthday to YX and Jac!!! They are the last 2 in the group to celebrate the 27th birthday.. well well, we are stepping into the 28th birthday celebration!!! so scary........ cant help feeling old............ its like yesterday when we celebrated our 15th year old birthday!! sometimes with the stinko NPCC t-shirts at long john silver......... nevertheless, hope that we will still continue celebrating even when we are 70 years old....... =)

Good things are happening to these 2 gals next year. YX will be the proud mother of Shaelyn while Jac will be a beautiful Mrs Chin, officially becoming my sister-in-law... hoho.. looking forward to celebrate their happiness with them... =)

Baby Dax at 2 months old

Baby weighs 5.515kg... Till date, we have bring him to Botanic garden, wet market, shop at Vivo City, Taka, Millenium walk, Marina Square, United Square, Tiong Bahru Plaza etc etc...... Hope to explore other places with him.. He knows how to play with us already, responding with his baby language when we talk to him.... His "wind" is getting better as days go..His "explosiveness" is also getting slightly better but he still cries alot at ah ma house, scaring everyone.... looking forward to the days when we do not need to burp him anymore and when he is much "calmer".. =)

Happy 5th year!!

Nov 5th is our 5th year since we are together.. Since the day we hold our hands in East Coast Park on 5th Nov 2003, we know that we have to walk through with each other, be it good times or bad times.....



5 years of "harvesting good crops"... 5 years of good time... now its time to stay low and "start planting" again.... In the meanwhile:

-no more extravagant lifestyle
-no unnecessary branded goods
-cut down on expensive restaurant dining
-no more unnecessary gadgets

We shall be hand-in-hand to ride through the storm!! =)


Now the popular question to ask in town : What will you do if you are retrenched?

Our retrenchment plan (wahaha..it doesnt hurt to think of the worst case scenario) : Since the market is going to be quiet for awhile, there isn't too high an opportunity cost... Our food business plan that we have been thinking of for at least 2 years is back again!! Recession - people will still need to eat.. as long as the food is good and the price is right... No venture No gain!!! No try No outcome!! We never know until we try... If we fail, the most we will go back to office work again..Since we are still young, we can take the risk.. If we succeed, we can be our own bosses next time...... well well, see if the axe will fall and how the market will turn these few months.....

To side track abit... Citi price is now at $4.71, lowest at $4.39.... U can't even get a Macdonald meal with this amount... its too absurd already... but who knows.. it might be sold off or merged... We shall stay low and "ready to attack" anytime..........................................

Our 1st shopping trip!!

Last weekend, we bring Baby Dax to Taka!! Our first pre-christmas shopping trip.. He is definitely one of the youngest shoppers around... He seems to enjoy it, looking at all the bright lights and people around him...

When you have kid, you lose some and you will gain some.. You lose some of the time to yourself. Your time is no longer only for yourself.. Sometimes, you have to sacrifice your time which last time used to be shopping, going out with friends, playing mahjong, watching movie, facial, seeing properties, stoning and nua-ing at home etc etc...

In exchange, you gain a small little thing that is growing every single day.. Watching him drinks milk, crying for help when changing nappies and digging nose for him, smiling at you when you sing nursery rhymes.... You will sweat and perspire trying all means to pacify him..You will feel helpless when he is crying non-stop.. You will feel satisfied when he sleeps soundly at your arms. You will feel happy when he stares and listens to you talking.. You feels a little weird to look at someone that is in your stomach for 9 months.. You will miss him when he is not by your side..You will think of his smile and his face when you are doing your stuff.. You will tend to take out your handphone and look at his pictures and wondering what is he doing now... Maybe this is so call the mother's instinct...

The time that is lost for all those activities will slowly come back when he is a little bit older when me and luck are confident to bring him out ourselves.. Just be a little patient, a few months more... yeah! Afterall, we have already endure 9 months before... =)

Waiting for you to grow up.. den we can go shopping together- you shop for your toys and i shop for my clothes and cosmetic...

The axes are falling!!

Can u feel it? The whole world is going into recession...Somehow, the effect is still not felt here, yet.................Vacation packages are still full.. There are still alot of people dining in expensive restaurants, u can see people spending on luxury items..Maybe this is good, it will help to boost the economy and keep it going.. Maybe those in the financial industries, already see it coming and can feel the pinch of it... Last time you used to find 10 to 20 pages of bank jobs on the websites, now i think only about 3 pages... The axes are starting to fall.. the question is only : whos next??

The effect is spreading out of the financial industry... The upcoming victims are the auto makers industry..... lets see if Congress will allow GM to fail.. if it does, it will really spell even deeeeeeper and prolonged troubles.....

Not trying to be pessimistic.... Not seeing an end so fast... Nobody is indispensable in any organisation... well... just got to make ourselves more useful and valuable to the organisation.... Good luck to everyone!!!!
