A Day out at Kid's kampong!

We had an early breakfast at Starbucks at changi point before heading to kid's kampong at pasir ris..

Meimei, her new "hobby" now is to lean onto our shoulders completely and stay relax there...

@ kid's kampong- hard to believe that it only charge $1 per entry.. On top of that, they also provide us with food to feed the fish, rabbits, chickens, ducks...

The chick and the mother hen- reminded me of 黑白 and 兩點 back in our kampong days.. Our little chicks.. We even composed a song for them and I still vaguely remember the tune and how to sing it:
黑白和两点是个好宝宝，它们今天不回家，明天炒粿条。hahahaaa..




Mei will grab onto our shirts, worried that she will fall... Haa..




Quite a fun trip to be back to basic! let's have more such trips :)

CMFAS examinations!

Ohh.. I still cannot believe that accountancy grad is not exempted from the new modules introduced by MAS. Just because there is no "finance " word in my transcript, I got to take module 6a, 8a, 9a... Argh.. Really a pain!!




Really brought back fresh memories of 2 significant chapters of my life:

1) my Uni/ hall days when I carried the textbooks to and fro my hall room and home, always telling myself to study during weekends when home but never failed to fail..omg that was like 10 years back already!!! . Hahaaaa... I was attempting to do the same these few days.. Day in day out bringing textbook to n fro office and home but ended up not studying in the office nor at home... Wats new...

2) the days when I Just joined DBS in 2003 as a PFC.. Our courtship days when I would talk to dear in my jalan damai room with all the textbooks and mock papers spreading on the floor... He did provide me with some stress relief in the different and many modules that I got to take.. Those days, Luger was still around... Haha.

Alright, mummy got to clear the 3 papers before June next year if not, mummy is not able to sell n will be out of job!! So little rascals at home, do give me some time to study yah...:b

1st up, M8a this coming Wednesday!!

August

At 4 months old, we bring our little darling to swim at the baby spa at parkway parade branch.. Very convenient as it is just next to our place..




Little Danelle loves to swim.wow she can really swim well, what I can recall is that she can swim much better than her 7 months old gor gor when we brought him to harbour front branch...




She kicks and enjoys the whole swimming session.. :)












Doing exercise too




Dax is such a sweet brother. He will always asks for Danelle's whereabouts when he can't find her in the house.. He will kiss and hug her the first thing in the morning when he sees her..




He will also protect her when there is any sudden loud sound.. On one occasion when the chair dropped and had a loud "thud", He will run to her, hug her, tell her " 妹妹，不要怕ok" and kiss her. Such a lovely brother :)




We started on semi solid food at about 4.5 months.. Not too bad, she seems to like it though it always ended up very messy.. Haa

Ever since Mei is out, daddy has brought Dax out alone to run errands.. It's such a breeze now to bring Dax out, 1 water bottle.. Unlike the past when we need 2 big full bags.. Haa.. Gone were the days:)




Celebrating yeye, 3rd uncle, Isaac birthday at taste paradise Ion.. Didn't manage to take photos as my hp photos r full.. Can't bear to delete them.. :( waiting for iPhone 5.. And I'm sure Hongwei will laugh at me for this :£

Upcoming mrt

Oh yes, it is official! A mrt line just outside our house.. What's best is that it is going to be underground, meaning that it will be noiseless...

What more can we ask, to stay at our current place with all amenities that we ask for..from supermarkets to dining to library to children enrichment courses to the beach to shopping to banking facilities etc etc... With the upcoming mrt, it's gonna be even more convenient..

We have started our run from cote round to east coast park.. The feeling is great! Hope we can manage to have at least 2 runs per week... Healthy living, happy life! :)

Danelle's 2nd jab

Our little girl is 4.5months old... Time flies, this little girl has grown up...


She is not aware that she is going for a jab later.. :£


Junior baby and child clinic at marine terrace is really a thumbs up! Charging a price lesser than a usual PD yet giving much more attention/ consultation.. Dr Hiew is a very caring doctor, he is always asking us hows Dax when we bring Danelle for jab.. He always addresses us by our names, a very personalised service. Definitely not like other PD that rushes off the consultation so that to finish the queue behind and charging so much more..


Being weighed and measured by Dr. Baby is 6.5kg.. :)


He has his way with kids and our kids seem to like him too..

Primary school registration

It's time to give some serious thoughts to Dax's primary school registration.. Though by Singapore standard, it seems abit late already... :£
As parents and as a 过来人 in spore education system, we don't really fancy fantastic high grades for the kids, what we believe in will be instilling great moral as well as high EQ to the kids.. Having excellent result doesn't necessary guarantee a successful life yah... Hmmm... Having said that, Of cos don't be the last few can Liao... Kekeke
Well 3 choices:
1)ACS
2) Taonan
3) maha bohdi
Hmmm.. Daddy is an old boy of ACS, almost a 90% guarantee entry as we will fall under phase 2A. Heard very good reviews on this school. Basically no homework, no exams in the 1st 2 years. The school trains u to be focus. Hence u can use shortest span of Time to complete ur stuff. Great emphasis is placed on sports and leadership training too.. Sounds like a good fit of whAt we want in our children.. Moreover, this is a very good school that many parents will do to get their boys in.. However, it is a boy school, that will place us into another challenge when Danelle needs to compete for a place with her dragon batch of friends..
Taonan- our house is within 1km, so convenient and a sure entry for Danelle too. However it is so competitive and heard that only the elite students r being taken care of..
Maha bohdi, a good sap and Buddhist school.It's a mixed school too... But it's not easy to get in too...
Omg... Really can understand the stress parents have to undergo during the registration period....
Hmmm, which should we go for?
