Maid-less days

Our ah Fa went back home fr 4th to 24th aug for her hari raya and her engagement..
Though it has been very challenging and tiring for both dear and myself, I should say that I'm so proud of both of us that we can indeed survive ourselves. We can handle both kids all by ourselves and do some housework at the same time! Well done! A pat on our backs!!




The 1st weekend is spent with family on a Genting trip together.. As it is a super long weekend with 2 public holidays, the jam to genting is super terrible!! We spent about near to 11 hours on the coach, leaving Singapore at 7am and reaching at 5 plus.
Luckily this little monster didnt fuss much on the coach..








That few days mei wants no one but only 爷爷.. She even slept on Yeye..

After more than 20 years, I'm back at Genting with my 6th uncle and 6th aunt together with Yvonne, brendon and dexter.. Back then, it was 6th uncle and Aunty that treated me to the trip!!
Now it's my turn to treat them back :)

She wants bear bear, all of us tried hard to win the bear bear for her... The games were so difficult to win!!!
In the end we spin and win this little elephant instead. All of us are so excited and cheer so loudly!! Think we created abit of commotion with our loud cheers.. Hahaha..
















Guess what.... In the end, 六姨丈公 went to buy this big and cute bear from the souvenir shop!! Haha!!




We went to this Italian restaurant for some drinks and chicken wings. They even gave us a brownie cake and all the staff sang happy birthday to father.. Haha so sweet!




We bowled together at the bowling alley.. Adults vs children... Haha.. The kids had so much fun bowling without worrying about 洗垄沟as the barricades were up to prevent the balls from rolling out of the lane..












Our 2nd night dinner is at ah yatt.. Before we got our tables, danelle kept pointing to the "car car" and wanted to take the ride.. In the end all 11 of us took the rides together!! Lol








Dad commented that he so old Liao also first time take this ride.. Haha..




The 1st dinner at ah yatt was almost fully paid by my winnings which was helped by my dad. He helped me win RM600 in half an hour.. Lol




Our 2nd night at ah yatt!! 6th uncle ordered the most ex set meal with shark fins, roasted pig, abalone etc etc.. So yummy delicacies!!!

Dax slept with the avengers toys - his super heroes that mummy bought for him.. He still asked me" is today a special day?" Haha

This is also Dax and danelle first overseas trip with big jiejie, small jiejie and jiale!




Good bye Genting
The rest of the 2 weeks were entirely DIY.. Unable to engage part time maids as all I called are fully taken up!!!
A typical night will be I will take care and play with both kids while dear is busy washing, hanging, drying clothes and washing bottles etc...




This little rascal is really very very naughty!! Every night needs to fight with her to make her fall asleep! Whatever she wants, she really wants it.. Oh dear.. This little monster is indeed 两个钻!!




We still manage to resume our life as usual, better than I expected..




We even managed to attend 3 birthday parties during these weekends..

Though this little rascal is really much harder to manage, ( Yeye and nainai both say that among the 4 grand kids, Danelle is the naughtiest, most cheeky, most patterned and the hardest to handle) I felt that we have conquered the fear of taking care of them ourselves without helper..




Though she wrestled with me throughout the nights, I still missed her at my work place...
I feed her, change her diapers, bathe together with her, read story books with her, play with her... Even pee together with her!! Haha..




Thanks to these 3 weeks break that ah Fa took, I felt that we have advanced to another level whereby we r much more independent and in control now...
My dear says I'm "进得了厨房 ，出得了厅堂＂ @-@ :)

Registered for a VVIP pre-launch for the D Pristine project in Iskander, this project is directly opposite affiniti project ( a joint project btw Singapore and Malaysia governments).. It's located at medini area, just outside 2nd link, where future educity, Gleneagles hospital, many malls, legoland etc gonna be built there...




There are people who are skeptical about iskandar project. But having visited legoland and looked around the premises around it, I feel that it is a good investment as long as I pick the right project at the right price..




After all the outlay is small and with this kind of amount, there's little investment u can do in Singapore.




All taken up even before the ballot!!!




I still need to ballot to get a unit!!! Initially wanted a 2 bedroom but was fully sold even before its launched. When it was my turn being balloted, the 1 bedder only left with the last unit!!! There was no chance to think about it as there's a long queue behind me waiting to choose units!!!




Managed to get the last unit on 33 floor.. With no stamp duty, and minimal payment till TOP, I guess it should be a right investment. Anyway, no risk no return, there has always been the rule of the game. As long as we are taking calculated risk, I'm pretty confident that we have made the right call! :)

With the 9th rounds of cooling measures covering almost all angles, I believe the money will be channeled from Singapore to Malaysia properties. Current stage of Malaysia property is alike to Singapore in 2006 where there's interest absorption scheme till TOP.

Our jurong east tenant has to go back home country earlier than expected, hence ending the lease this month. This westmere unit is bought in January, on the day of the announcement regarding the ABSD.. Thanks to the measure, if not I think the deal might not be seal so fast..




We have been shopping around for our 3rd unit in singapore since November In anticipation of additional measures that will be coming up.. This time round, we explore the west side, as this side still has reasonable potential upside compared to the east.. Saw many units and offered 2 cheques on the last day before the new ABSD measure kicks in. We r being "snooped" big time by the seller of a unit at bukit panjang condo... Waited for one whole day and in the end he rejected the cheque. It might be a blessing in disguise as after the rejection, we reconsider the unit at westmere.




3 bedroom with size of 1259sq feet. One of the only 2 condos at jurong east. Bought at 1.045mm, at 830 Psf.. The most "rash" property bought in history. Only viewed once but gut feel is to buy or never..
Or else have to pay additional 7% or 10% stamp fee.. That's alot of unnecessary cost!!








Good view with quiet surrounding. Minutes to mrt and many amenities around it..




Recently went back to the unit to take a look.. Very good shape and size. Very well kept.. Indeed, a good choice and thank god we got this unit instead.




With the 4 big malls and lots of amenities, big hospitals, new commercial activities, jurong east has become the "next big thing". The master plan in 2008 to make jurong a business hub in west is materializing.




Thanks to MCL that has launched J gateway recently with 1450 to 1600psf!!!! Amazing part is that it was fully sold out after 1 day despite the high price!! It has brought jurong property to the next level.. It's really a "bingo" buy!! :)

Ok, that's about it for Singapore property.. "Gonna harvest the crops" and just collect rental. have to wait for the next cycle, 3.5 years later to decide on the next move.
