We had our Potluck Xmas celebration at Cote this year... how time flies, this is already the 2nd celebration here... =)

3rd trimester!!

last lap... 2 months plus to go!!! The 3rd trimester with Dax back in 2008 was quite bad- with constipations, backache, piles, infections etc... Hope that Mei mei will be a good gal....

Have been experiencing sleepless nights for the past few nights, oh no..... i hope that this will not persist on...

Nai Nai has picked 3 dates for u to meet us all: 31st March 2012, 2nd April 2012, 3rd April 2012..... The timing will be between 9am to 11am, same as ur gor gor.... As Qing Ming is on the 4th April, we would prefer u to come out before that....

Daddy and mummy love 31-3-2012, wow it's quite cool to be born on 31st isn't it? we got to check with Dr Ang on the next appointment to see if it's feasible....

Though Mount A is still undergoing renovation, daddy still prefers to let u come out there...

Mummy loves 欣....its Xin1 and the meaning is Happy... =) so lovely isn't it?

When mummy is preggy with ur gorgor in 2008, I have always wanted to give the name of Xin1 yu3 if its a girl..... However, there is no nice word with "yu3"... So we got to think of alternatives now...

Oh yes, u must be wondering mummy being such a "feng Shui" oriented person would not consider to let fengshui masters to count ur strokes to come up with all of ur names... As mummy feels that ur name is ur identity, mummy would prefer to name u something that we like and its from us... If we give it to the fengshui master, I'm quite sure we got to compromise alot and might end up with the name or meaning that we don't like but got to use it as they will tell us the names we chosen ain't suitable bla bla bla...... Just like ur gor gor, his name is picked and chosen by mummy, daddy and nai nai, we did not consult any fengshui master.....

Taiwan Trip Dec 2011

Oh yeah! Its our maiden biz trip together with Sherry Tan!! What a pity that I'm preggy and was unable to do alot of things that we can do!! like massage, hair treatment, hair coloring, spa and going for hot spring since its such a cool weather!! and no concerts during the period we went too.. =( nvm, there is always a next time!!!

Of cos not forgetting to bring my 拜拜 Kaki to 龙山寺!! HUAT arrrrrhhhhhhhh!!!!! May we conquer the Taiwan market together and be the Taiwan Queens!!!!!

We always come here whenever possible to offer our thanks and prayers...

what a perfect timing as this pregnancy craving is tepanyaki!! Taiwan has one of the best tepanyaki besides Japan!! U rarely can find any good tepankyaki in Singapore...

We went to Room 18 along the happening stretch of Taipei!!!! Luckily my jacket is able to hide my stomach to let a preggy in to chiong!!! heeheee.. We left after a while as there was too much smoke inside, bad for meimei...

ohhh yeahh, together with some nice colleagues... we had a good feast at dinner prior to that, guess we ordered about 12 dishes??!!

Though i have been to Taiwan for countless times, I have yet to visit its Taipei 101!! woooo... like tourists!!

Next we proceed to 红花 tepanyaki for dinner.. This is one of the best tepanyaki i have ever eaten.. quality, quantity, variety- all in 1!!!!!! i think there is at least 8 courses of premium food, it's not cheap but definitely worth the money!!

we went up to Ping Xi old town for its sky lantern!! wow... this old town is real cool!! we released our sky lanterns along a live railway track!! we got to evacuate the railway track whenever there is a train coming.... haha.. so fun! this place was where the show "Apple of my eye" was filmed! love the feel.. very taiwanese!!

there are 4 sides to the sky lanterns with each color representing different aspects of life... u got to write ur wish and send it UP UP and UP!!! we even bought the one with the fire crackers... the fire crackers will go off half way through its path...

a great place to chill as well...

look at the bridge behind us... we did not have the time to go there.. maybe we can bring Dax there next time!!

bought TWG gifts for my clients.. and not forgetting the Xmas pressies for my godmum's children! Guess its gonna be a while to my next trip... at least got to wait till August...

Goodbye 2011, welcome 2012!

2011 is coming to an end.. It has not been a smooth year for many of the roosters around including me..It is a year of conflict with Tai Sui for the roosters... prolonged illness at the beginning of the year, a big quarrel with hubby in the early part of the year, big and many obstacles at work this year.. woooooooooo..... never had i believe so strongly in the power of conflicting with the Tai Sui!!!

With 2012 coming, pay freeze for VPs and above, recruitment freeze for most banking institutions, SIP program that are not attractive, it's gonna be a laid back year... Kinda getting

some consolations that the business manager award for 12 times MEC is also being taken out

of the SIP program.. well.. quite a good timing for my maternity leave as it is not possible to achieve 12 times next year, so not much opportunity costs..

Some resolutions for 2012:

- continue to pursue my interest on Art of fengshui and psychology studies

- to shed away all unwanted weight by end of 2012 including the unshed 3.9kg from pregnancy of Dax

- to resume a healthy lifestyle of exercise

- to resume "color my world" project, hopefully to continue the travelling around the world

- to spend quality time with family members including the "upcoming" meimei..

Being a mother, I'm so proud of Dax that has quite a number of "achievements" and resolutions done during these 3 weeks of leave with me...

1) wean off pacifier

2) poo-ing onto the potties, he used to do it only onto his pampers and without people looking at him...

doing his business and it is fast and "big"!!

Ops... i know its disgusting... but can't help posting... keke... his first shit in 2011!!! gold nugget!!! huat arrhh!!!

3) taking off the shorts, pee-ing and flushing the toilet on his own even in the middle of the night.. Except for the washing hands part when he still needs help from us as he is still not able to reach the tap himself..

4) not being so picky on his pants and shirts anymore. He used to only wear that few shirts and that 1 particular shorts to go out. All the clothes he wore must be without buttons, without collar, the pants cannot be too long.. only wants to wear that few t-shirts... Mother and ah fa always have difficulties in getting him changed... In the end always giving in to him to wear that few nua nua clothes... we are really frustrated but at the same time helpless though he has a cupboard full of nice and smart clothes for him to wear!! Daddy and mummy have quarreled with him on several occasions as he refused to wear the clothes...

5) not picky on the type of shoes he wears. Just like the clothes, he only wants to wear those super comfy and seasoned ones, neglecting all the new ones we bought for him..

6) He used to eat only noodles noodles and noodles... he hates porridge the most and does not like rice too...that might be the reason why he was prone to fever and other illnesses previously as noodles only provide carbohydrates and not much vitamins.. well.... of cos with mummy and daddy strict implementation on his diets to stop his "only want noodles", we saw some improvements in his overall well being too. Glad that he accepted that he has not much of a choice!! =b

All thanks to Ginger breadman that made all these possible in such a short period!!

Not forgetting his other achievements achieved in this year:

1) reciting A to Z successfully..

2) spells some simple words like Dax and Chin

3) able to make and complete a puzzle on his own

puzzle completed by Dax and photo taken by him too.. haa..

4) holding very decent conversations in mandarin as well as in english. His reasoning and negotiating power is really admirable at times...

5) being a super Pao-to Kia, where he will pao-to some very small things.. hahaa.. u can ask Karis mummy and daddy and they will vouch for it!! In this way, I'm less worried about his well-being. He will also pao-to Ah Fa jiejie when she didn't carry out my instructions.. don't have to worry bout him being bullied in silence.. haa

6) Being a very detailed person noticing small things like the change of my toe nail paints, the missing small screw inside the lift- really got to give it to his sharpness..

MeiMei Chin @ 6 months +

Hello Meimei, today we went over to Gleneagles to see you together with gor gor... Thank you for being such a good gal for the past 1 month... Please continue to be a good gal ok, mummy daddy and gor gor will jiayou for u ok!

Dr Ang says gor gor looks exactly like me.. hahaa.. and says that ur chin looks like mine too... =)

The picture shows ur face and chin quite clearly... u have been a super milk lover.. Daddy says mummy is like a cow.. but cow doesnt drink milk right???!! hhahaaa.. Its so different from ur gor gor, when mummy is expecting ur gor gor, mummy hates the smell and taste of the milk.. so funny..

Yeye hopes that when u are out, u can take away some love that we have on Dax gor gor.. cos Dax gor gor is like the king of the house, everyone's attention is on him.. Yeye says cos he really knows how to make our heart melts towards him.. haha... Mummy knows that all people will practise favoritism, mummy is really curious whether will i practise it when u are out too... its yet another big challenge for parents i guess....

Hope u will be as chubby as this little gal... Jiayou mei mei, 3 months few days to go!!! =)

My 1st half of compliance leave.......

When mummy clears compliance leave, so does Dax.. Guess kids need a break from their school too, though we are still paying the hefty school fee during this holiday period. Daddy took his leave to accompany me to Taiwan and leave his 7 days of o/s leave to carry forward to next year to clear when mei mei arrives..

Mummy and daddy decided not to go for any holiday trips and stay in Spore instead as mummy's tummy might be big and not easy to carry in foreign countries..

During this 2 weeks, Dax still woke up at 7am and play with daddy for awhile before he left for work. Dax will leave mummy alone to sleep till 830-9am and he will come into the room and ask "mummy,你可以 起来吗?" Then when i say 可以, he will pull me up.

We will take our breakfast together, sometimes cereal, waffle, bread etc etc and spend time playing together.. Thereafter we will go out together and have lots of activities..

We went Xmas shopping to various shopping centres and bought a lot of presents together!

Mummy took Dax to take a SBS bus from Parkway to Ang Mo Kio.. cos Yvonne told me that the mall is decorated with carebears... so we took bus 135 together...

It has been years since mummy last took a bus.. was shocked to find out that it cost $2 from PP to AMK!!! OMG!!

Dax asked me on the bus that whether can we take bus back home instead of taking daddy's car... I told daddy and daddy said u are a simple boy.... =)

we deliver Xmas presents to Tenaga to big jiejie, small jiejie, lele and lexuan..

happily playing with the games... soccer + angry birds + Scrabble...

It is almost a daily routine for this pair of chin cousins to kiss and hug mei mei chin inside my stomach... followed by " I love u, Meimei"... I wanted to cultivate a good habit for them so that when meimei is out, they will love her just like they love each other now...

This pair of chin cousins are so inseparable and lovable..They have spent time together since Kim Tian days, they are as close as true siblings and always have each other in mind... Dax always tells me that he has 2 mei mei, 1 Yin Yin meimei and mummy 肚子 里的 mei mei.. so cute!!

Dax has learnt to be a caring and loving elder brother with yin yin meimei

around.

Yin Yin mei mei has steepened her learning curve much

faster with gor gor around too.

She learns to speak in sentences much faster and

u can almost hear Dax's lingo out

from Giselle's mouth.. hahaa..

Hope they will stay so "loving" in years to come!! =)

We spend half a day @ airport with big and small jiejies.. we went to Singkids as well as their

displays in the airport.. wow!! really got quite a lot of things to play there...

Initially tot that we would be able to bring Dax and meimei chin to Hokkaido ski resort next year or the following year end.. after this snow city experience, guess it would be wiser to bring them there when they are much older... it might be too cold for the kids to handle...

we tried out enrolling Dax to swimming lesson with "Uncle Mark". But guess it would be better

to enroll him in a group than individual.. it is too intimidating for him at this age.. hahahaa

bought a super big size swim wear for him. hope can last longer. This is like the 5th or 6th pc of swim wear we had gotten!!! Just like his crocs shoes!! haizzzz..

Merry Xmas to everyone..!! may 2012 be an even better year for all of us!!
